Profile

Close-up of Breanna Hamm.Hello and welcome! I’m Breanna Hamm (she/her/hers), and am a multifaceted individual who relishes opportunities to create something engaging, visually appealing and user centered. I work with many different mediums, including print and web design, photography, video, and art and illustration.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Technology and a Master’s of Education in Learning Design, which combined create a unique blend of technology, design, and education. I currently work as an Instructional Technologist at the University of Michigan Hatcher Graduate Library. In this position, I provide one-on-one multimedia consultation as well as teach course-integrated and open workshops to university students, staff, and faculty. In addition to instruction, I also work on many library projects such as creating videos and e-learning materials for the library, designing graphics for library digital signage, and managing technology suites within the library.

In my free time I like to make buttons, read comics, doodle, and get involved in activism. I am a strong supporter of Open Access, Net Neutrality, and cryptography movements, specifically in regards to public and academic libraries and institutions of higher education.
